Attending Our Sisters Club 46th Anniversary Celebration

We are invited by our sister club, the Lions Club of Georgetown to celebrate their 46th Anniversary from the 7th to 9th January 2010.

Attending 40th Anniversary of Lions Club of Jakarta Host

PP Lion Raymond Wee, lead a delegation of 7 Lions including President Lion Esther Law to attend the 40th Anniversary of Lions Club of Jarkarta Host ( our Sister Club ) including golfing fellowship and other community projects arranged by our sister Club.

Lions Nursing Home Fund Raising Project - Food Fair

President Ln Esther Law lead her Club members and Leo Presidents and Leo members of St. Joseph, SMK Sg. Maong and SMK Kuching High, opened 3 stalls selling bak-chang, pastries and cakes sponsored by Riverside Majestic Hotel, selling Penang Rojak, selling Ice-Cream partly sponsored by May Hua Ice-cream and other herbal drinks sponsored by President Esther Law’s companies, Glohas Group of Companies. A total of 6 Lions including IPDG Ln B.C. Sim, Ln Francis Ang and 12 Leos including Leo President Leo Alastair Ang ( St. Joseph) Leo President Tan (Kuching High) and Leo Lillian ( Kuching High ) all helped out in this Lions Nursing Home Food Fair 2009. We raised a totoal sale of RM4, 069.00 in sales ( a record breaker in the history of Kuching Host, lead by our capable Ln Esther Law )

Lions in Action Rally Flag Off

President Lion Esther Law and IPDG Lion Sim Boon Chuan witnessed the flaging off of Lions Rally 2009 from the Lions Nursing Home.

Members attended Anniversary Dinner of Lions Club of Serian

President Lion Esther Law and her delegation of 7 BOD/members attended the 25th Anniversary of Lions Club of Serian at 7.30pm at the Serian Community Hall.The Guest of Honour is our DG Lion Karen Koh and also special guest, International Director Lion Hjh Ellis Suriyati.

43th Anniversary Celebration

43rd Anniversary Dinner for all members and BOD held at The Banquet ( Restaurant ) at 7.30pm attended by 14 BODs. And 7 members, plus special guest PDG Lion Tan Soh Har and Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Osmond ( friends of Lion Raymond Wee ) and after dinner, at 9.30pm, the 4th BOD/Members meeting was chaired by President Lion Esther Law and ended at 10.25pm, During the Anniversary, PP Lion Raymond Wee gave a personal donation of RM1,000.00 to our Administration Fund.

Visiting of George Town Sister Club to Kuching

Welcoming at the Kuching Airport for 15 Lions members and their spouse from our sister club,Lions Club of George Town,Penang at 8pm from Penang. The next day,IPP Lion Stanley Song, assisted by Lions Tony Lim, Daisy Kon and Stevenson Yeo, arrange golfing for all golfer Lions from George Town,Penang at SGS , Damai Golf and Borneo Highlands golf club, including sight-seeing of Kuching town.


President Lion Esther Law and some members accompanied our sister club members of George Town, Penang to a city tour and also visit the Central Padang to see the Kuching Celebration of Merdeka Day.


Visit to office of International Director, Lion Hjh Ellis Suriyati at 11.00am by all visiting 15 Lions and their spouses accompanied by Presient Lion Esther Law,Sec Lion Francis Ang, Lion Wenderine Koo. Later ID Lion Ellis Suriyati invited all members to lunch at Country Court restaurant.


Personal Presidential Dinner hosted by President Lion Esther Law at her centre, Glohas Meeting Room, Jalan Tun Jugah for all 15 visiting Lions members and their family,including exchange of souvenirs. This dinner was also sttended by BOD and members of Kuching Host and also special guest PDG Lion Mary Wee of Miri and also a Lion member, Lion Johnson Wing, from Lions Club of Chinatown, London ( a friend of PPLion Raymond Wee )


Dinner hosted by Lions Club of Geroge Town Penang for President Lion Esther Law and her BOD members at the Meisan Rastaurant, prior to their departure to Kuching Airport. They also gave a donation to the Sarawak Society for the Deaf received by IPDG Lion Sim Boon Chuan.

Lions international Region 1 Peace Poster Contest

Lion Audrey Lam was the Project Chairperson for the Region, World Peace Poster Design Competition of Lions District 308-A2. The panel judges are proud to announce Lau Chuan Joon as the champion of the competition. Lau will be representing our club at the regional level of competition.

Celebrating with the Children of Salvation Army during Mooncake Festival

Project–head Lion Wenderine Koo organized a children’s Moon cake , Lantern and Birthday party for 65 children of The Salvation Army Children Home at Jalan Uplands, Kuching. Also present were IPDG Lion Sim Boon Chuan, Sec Lion Francis Ang, IPP Lion Stanley Song, Lions Joseph Eng, Garry Teo, Andrew Gan, Daisy Kon, Marie Lim, Victor Liew, PP Titus Chuo , Audrey Lam and Mary Kong.
